COMMUNITY CENTER
In November 2014, the Jesse White Community Center opened its doors to the public. The joint venture between the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District, and the Jesse White Foundation produced a 30,000 sq. ft. headquarters for the Chicago Park District gymnastics program as well as the internationally renowned Jesse White Tumblers. The center also provides fitness and assembly rooms for those in the community. It houses a gymnasium with basketball court and bleachers, a gymnastics facility, fitness room, community meeting rooms, a public computer lab and training center, locker rooms, and administrative offices.
Jesse White believes in encouraging good behavior at an early age. With the completion of the Jesse White Community Center, we are able to give kids an alternative to the streets. The Park District provides dance classes, mom & tot classes, gymnastic classes, Taiji (Tai chi) Quan, Xingyi Quan, Bagua palm classes, basketball, and a whole lot more. Out of our center the Jesse White Foundation is able to provide tutoring services and tumbling team practices.
